Transformers Classic Re-Issue Autobot Jazz Commemorative Series 3 Hasbro 2002

Nostalgia is a great drug...

The reissue of Jazz is a great toy as all of the Transformers in this line are. Now, the figure has a few changes from the original that are just a bit subtle. Jazz has a smirk on his face. While that's cool and all, it's different from the original and the Diaclone version. This one also comes with the Meister sticker set as opposed to the "Martiini" (2 i's) G1 original. Lastly. The weapons. The Japanese versions of these that came with the book style version of the box maintain working springs for launching missiles that come off the sprue. This version, as well as any "Commemorative" versions from North America have all non working weapons. I can deal with that. I'm an adult who is keeping my childhood on display and not playing with them. (But I'm still an adult that bought a kids toy and is just as excited as a child when I opened this) What I can't deal with is the lack of chrome weapons that should come with the toys. I own at least 3 of these versions from various figures and I've found that the Toys R Us ones come with chrome weapons. Aside that. This is a great build of a great toy from a great line. It's exactly like you remember (if you had one growing up) and if you are a classic G1 fan of the Transformers, buy him. ...like right now. Join the cool kids club.
