So Far So Good
I wasn't sure how well this clutch kit was going to work. There are many blog posters that say that the Barnett clutches aren't that good, but no one really has any specific reason, so I thought that I would give it a try. I have a 2010 Ducati 1198S and I had no problems whatsoever installing the plates, and right away I noticed the difference from the plates that I had already in my clutch. The action was smooth and predictable and worked as well as I would expect. I had some questions that I emailed Barnett about, and although they got back to me right away, they didn't seem very friendly. Their answers were short and to the point, so I had to email them three times before I was satisfied with the response and felt educated on their product. It was like I was bothering them. I have a dry clutch and the plates come with oil on them. According to Barnett, you can wipe them off, or leave them the way they come. I chose to wipe mine clean. All in all, I thought it was a good buy and I'm satisfied with the product. Time will tell how long they continue to work as well as they do now. I only have about 75 miles on them.
