Fun to figure out.
I enjoyed the interactive, role-play of the game. Changing the character that the player inhabits throughtout the game is a fun twist. I wish you could fast-forward past the dialog if you want to save time. After you've played a few times, it lacks challenge.

Great recipes and menu ideas
This cookbook should be in every kitchen. There are treasures and treats for the palate on nearly every page. Some recipes are modern twists on perennial favorites, like "Scalloped Ham and Potatoes," while others are ethnic and/or regional delights, like "Seafood Pepperpot," a Caribbean burst of flavor enjoyed widely in Florida.

If you need help in assembling a memorable meal for family or friends, no worries. Rosso and Lufkin provide menu ideas, from appetizer or soup course, through to the dessert. Check out this menu for a summer supper; Sorrel soup, to be followed by, Pacific Salmon/sweet corn in the husk/eggplant on grill, served with Fume Blanc, and topped off with strawberry shortcake!
There are other useful "ingredients" in this book. You get clued in on how to choose a wine for any meal, whether it is; beef, poultry, or fish, grilled, baked, or poached, Italian, French, or Mexican. There is a trip through the herb garden, with explanations on how to use fresh and dried herbs and spices, what they look like, and where you may find the more unusual selections.
New to the kitchen? Don't worry. This book will not allow you to fail. These recipes are as easy as they are tasty. Your friends and family will think you have been taking culinary lessons on the sly. Perhaps better still, is the fact that even as your skills blossom, you will not "outgrow" this cookbook.
