Canon CanoScan FB 620U Flatbed Scanner

Old but still good

Sure it's an old scanner but I have one that's hanging in there and still works quite well. Software from the manufacturer is still available (although you may need to look for it) and works up through (as far as I've tested) Win XP pro (yeah I'm a Luddite) and it works past XP with 3rd party software like Vuescan etc. This scanner does one thing... it scans documents and photos and does it well... that's it. 600 dpi by today's standards may seem low, but when all is considered, seldom is a photo scan setting higher than 300 dpi ever necessary, so the 600 dpi setting is overkill for most things. The final word is that this scanner, in spite of being dated, works quite well even by modern standards. When compared to contemporary scanners it stands up well, and color and resolution are both quite good. Available for dirt cheap used, and that's a lot of bang for the buck.

A pleasant surprise, a lot of bang for the buck

Outstanding head unit, lots of tricks, and with the MOSFET45 amp module circuitry this radio uses, you won't need an amplifier unless you live for noise ordinance tickets. I would recommend the purchaser READ the manual that comes with the radio so as to get the most out of it. And it has a lot to offer. I'm thinking about getting another to put in my 2nd vehicle. Be advised it does not come with a remote but those are cheap, available from the dealers or from Ebay. This radio offers a lot of bang for the buck and frankly I'm surprised it sells for as little money as it does for the results you get from it. Nice piece, good performance.
