Great quality, reasonable price

Reasonable microscope, bad software
If you are technical, you will likely be able to get this microscope working for you. The USB software that comes with the microscope is not stable and does not work well with Win10. Most of the software features (like contrast adjustment) are not even working. The software's measurement functions are a nice idea, but the program is a little too buggy for me. The software would lock up every once is a while (maybe every 30 minutes). The microscope is OK but needs you to find an alternative USB software. After a lot of testing, I found that the best software is the "Camera" application that comes with Win10. It however does not have measurements. Combined "Camera" with the photo editing ability of Win10, you can manipulate the image contrast and get a decent picture. I wish the USB can capture at higher resolution but you get what you pay for.
The LED lights that came with the unit is only fair, good lighting is going to be a big player in getting good images with this microscope. Depending on what you are viewing, you might have to make your own lighting device.
I am keeping this microscope because I need the long working distance, none of the lower cost units can work at the same distance and magnification. If you don't need the working distance and want to save about 1/3 the cost, the Andonstar HD microscope is a very decent alternative.
