Dog Fashion Disco Returns
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I've been a huge fan of this band since their first major release "Anarchists of Good Taste". They've come a long way, had many line-up changes and are still able to produce quality material. This is a very diverse record, it goes in various directions. Sometimes just one of the many songs on the album will take countless turns, like "Silent Film", "The Hitchhiker", and "Moonlight City Drive", which contain multi-genre elements throughout. The crime saga themed lyrics are very tasteful but seem to lack in comparison to their last album "Committed To a Bright Future". If you've been a fan, I recommend this album. If you aren't clued in to Dog Fashion Disco's brand of music, this may or may not be a good starting point, although they show all of their colors during this record, it's quite a lot to take in if you aren't prepared.

Buckethead Revealed (but not really)
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich I'm a little bit obsessed at times with the enigma that is Buckethead and I was excited for this release, but I have to rate it 4 out of 5 because of the lack of live performances on it. I love the packaging and the reading material probably makes up for almost all of the content that isn't on the DVD. The home footage and behind the scenes stuff is very entertaining for a lazy night on the couch with nothing to do. I cracked up quite a few times at the nonsensical behavior of Buckethead and friends, but I can't see myself watching this material more than once or maybe twice if it's needed. There are tons of little side menus that don't go anywhere, but they're a neat little addition, especially since most DVDs don't have these little blurbs of humor hidden away. I recommend this for the biggest Buckethead fans only.
