After a few swings I realized I was dipping and swinging my center point in my back swing "as the mat grabbed the club and slowed it down", so I fixed a problem I never knew I had!! This is by far the most sturdy and well built mat I've hit from. Very real feedback and now I'm able to practice without tearing up my yard, and winter is right around the corner so I can practice inside with actual feedback!! A++ on the rough mat and the regular mats I purchased. The rough mat also gives a very good response from hitting out of thicker grass. Very happy with the products!
