Increases WiFi coverage with ease, but management app could use a few improvements
The Velop AX MX10 WiFi6 system increased coverage in our house during the pandemic (we were previously using the older WiFi 5 model.) There are eight people in the house with over thirty devices continually connected. This model works fast and flawlessly - 97% of the time.
A few times so far over the last month, under extreme load with four kids gaming and four adults streaming, the mesh system will drop devices or lag and need a full "reboot". We are still moving the nodes around the house to find optimal coverage.
The Linksys Velop app and dashboard are useful but could improve with more sophisticated monitoring tools for technical customers. The Parental Controls are good - but with so many devices in the house, grouping children into categories like "younger" and "older" would make managing device times easier. Also, the limit on number of devices needs to be increased for Parental Control and MAC address filtering.
Satisfied with this product, just could use a few minor improvements.
