Most reliable socket 775 micro-ATX motherboard for a secondary / 720p Windows 10 PC build
The Intel DG35EC was one of the most reliable micro-ATX socket 775 motherboards ever made. It remains fully compatible with Windows 10 today; the graphics drivers and power drivers are automatically detected by Windows 10 build 1803 (latest version at time of writing Sept 2018). This means that this board is ideal for building a secondary or low-end PC from used parts. The board also features both DVI and VGA ports, although no HDMI nor Display Port. Unlike many other older 775 boards, Windows 10 correctly handles power management with the DG35EC and is able to perform sleep mode without problems.
Best of all, for a micro ATX board, this has four 240-pin DDR2 800MHz memory slots, which means you can easily fill it with 4x2GB = 8GB of RAM for under 25 pounds used. Combine this with a second-hand Intel Core 2 Quad processor such as the 2.5GHz Q9300 for under fifteen quid, and a 2GB GTX 550, 660, R7 260 or better graphics card - which should only set you back 40 quid used - and you have a machine that can play AAA games such as Fortnite, PUBG or GTAV at 720p at 30-50fps. I built a couple for my children and they love playing Fortnite on them.
The only real downsides are that the USB ports are only USB2 not 3, and the SATA ports are only SATA-II 3Gb/s, although this does mean that you can buy a cheaper no-name SSD and not worry that you're missing out on performance.
Beware that there was a lot of DDR2 RAM that was only AMD compatible. When buying DDR2 RAM, make sure you get modules that are Intel compatible.

Ideal upgrade for Thinkpad X220 with Windows 10
Easy to fit and works with Windows 10 on Lenovo Thinkpad X220 . Followed assorted YouTube videos showing how to remove the palm rest, old module unclips easily and new one fits straight in (no antenna connections nor anything fiddly). Windows 10 required 2-3 restarts to, variously, download, install and configure the Bluetooth module (all of which it seemed to do automatically or as part of Windows Update), and since then has been rock solid. Paired with my Bluetooth gamepad without trouble and connection remains rock solid after several weeks.
The module originally supplied with the X220 laptop under Windows 7 is not supported under Windows 10 (despite me trying numerous drivers, all got uninstalled by Windows Update / reboot) so this really is a simple, permanent fix to get Bluetooth on the X220 on Windows 10.

Works with Windows 10 on Thinkpad X220 X230
Worked immediately on Windows 10 on Thinkpad X220 and X230. No more driver hassle. Reasonably easy to fit, requires unscrewing the palm rest and prising it open, but you don't need to disconnect any cables.
