This Motorcraft WPT-115 pigtail kit is definitely a quality product. The connector is identical to the original. The wires in this pigtail are 10 AWG, whereas the original wires were 16 AWG and 12 AWG. The kit came with four crimp connectors and four pieces of heat shrink tubing. For this application soldering is recommended. Instructions were fairly simple to follow.
I recommend removing the original harness sub-assembly from the vehicle to complete the splicing. All four wires on the pigtail are black, so I marked each one with the corresponding color from the original harness before splicing. Once the pigtail was spliced into the harness and wrapped with tape, re-installation of the harness into the vehicle was a snap.
After replacing the blower motor resistor and repairing the harness with this pigtail, my blower is operating properly on all four speeds. My 25 year old F150 s HVAC fan is as good as new!
