Best CD Collection of David Gates's "Bread".

Wonderful "soft rock" collection of "Bread".

It Happened at the World's Fair (DVD, 1963) (IMPORT USA)

Very pleasant Elvis film (Region 1)

28 year-old handsome Elvis in a colourful 1963 movie shot around the "World's Fair" in Seattle, USA. Very good quality picture in this Region 1 Dvd (NTSC), and so the sound plays at the correct speed. [PAL versions run at about 4% faster. This can be quite noticeable in a film like "Roustabout" especially at the start of the film over the credits]. Elvis sings amongst other songs "One Broken Heart For Sale" (includes a verse missing from the shorter released record). Other nice songs are "I'm Falling In Love Tonight" and "A World Of Our Own". Joan O'Brien is Elvis's very pleasant co-star. The 10 year-old boy (Kurt Russell) who kicks Elvis on request in the film's plot years later played Elvis himself in a biographical TV movie "ELVIS" in 1979!

Very reasonably-priced 5-film Elvis DVD set (Region 1)

This very reasonably-priced 5-film DVD set is Region 1 (NTSC) and so plays the films at the correct speed (PAL versions run about 4% too fast). This Paramount set comprises: "GI Blues", "Blue Hawaii", "Girls! Girls! Girls!", "Fun in Acapulco" and "Roustabout". The discs have plain labels on this set with silver title lettering. The first four films are clear whilst "Roustabout" requires some adjustment of sharpness/noise controls on your TV and/or Dvd Player - it seems that the Elvis song scenes' spotlight has caused the problem. I notice that the PAL version, which I purchased long ago, has a slightly better picture but the sound is ruined by the speed-up 4%. None of these films are available on Blu Ray yet nor is "Loving You" which is eagerly awaited. Blu Ray discs do not have the "speed-up" problem.
