Best boot wax

Compared with other waxes I’ve used over many years, this one is definitely the best quality. It stays soft in the pot and applies evenly and easily. I use my fingers and can feel the way it gets into the leather.

Classic film that has aged well. Absorbs, shocks but has charm too.

I first saw this film several decades ago and the most memorable part was the shock ending. Seeing it again made me realise what a great story it is throughout. With excellent portrayals by the main characters, it is given more depth by both the beautiful but disturbing setting of Venice’s back alleys and the unsettling supporting characters, all of which keep the viewer guessing as to what’s to come. The ending is still surprising and shocking but it’s a much more satisfying film than I remembered now that the rest makes more sense.

Good pots

Needed these for some chilli seedlings. They are ideal as a midway point between seed tray and final potting. They are firmly packed which means some are a little difficult to separate and there’s an odour once they’re moist. Not unpleasant but noticeable indoors. Otherwise, a good product.
