They work.

Small, elegant solution for the car

I researched quite a number of different phone holders for my car, many different styles and designs. I chose this one for its small size, simplicity, and low price. It works very well, and I'm happy with my choice. The device would probably stay in place in the CD slot without even being tightened, but with a bit of expansion it's quite secure. I don't find the handle of the screw very obtrusive. It blocks a bit of the radio display, but not enough to matter. And one could always replace it with a smaller bolt, as was mentioned in one of the other reviews. The thin magnetic card fits easily between my case and the phone, and stays in place without being fastened in any way. The phone stays on the mount securely during driving. The phone itself does block a portion of the radio display, but I've found it's not a big problem, and it can always be temporarily removed for a few seconds if there's something you have to see. The build seems high-quality, so I imagine I'll be using this little device for years to come!
