No brainer - buy it
This is a well thought out product and will save you time and money if your cable snaps.
If your bonnet cable snaps when opening leave it open as it might be hard to gain access unless you attach a wire to the lock mechanism.
Online video will help you understand what you need to do - 1hr job....once into the bonnet.

These bellows saved me from buying a whole new switch unit
These are an exact replacement for my existing bellows which had been pushed through the housing. On dismantling I noticed the code and brand so did a search on google, ebay and amazon. Ebay came up trumps.
Quick despatch and two minute job to replace.
