Roomba 650 works great - mostly!
6 von 7 finden das hilfreich Really good product that will be useful in keeping dust levels down in our house. Well engineered, gets out of jams nearly all of the time, cleans in places we couldn't even imagine. Goes from hardwood to tile to carpet across carpet tassels and lamp cords all without issue. It just goes and goes, disappears under the furniture, comes out the other side, and is quite fun to watch. Comes with one Virtual Wall, but you'll need to buy at least one more to make it useful. And, you get to play the game, "Where's my Roomba?" Siri likes him, too.
Minor problems - it cleans a random pattern that continually angles back and forth across your room and will travel from room to room unless you wall it in (close doors, use Virtual Walls) to try to finish the current room. It doesn't clean all of the room due to its programmed, but seemingly random, wanderings. So, in our early opinion, it won't in fact vacuum the entire floor of any room on a given cleaning cycle. But it will vacuum at least 60% of it, more the longer you leave it. And the next time you turn him loose, he might vacuum the spots he missed the last time. On carpet, it leaves an angular pattern on the nap that is a bit unsightly, rather than the inline vertical patterns you leave when you manually vacuum. Another problem is, you have to watch the Roomba and move the Virtual Walls to keep it confined and out of trouble, especially if you have a more open floor plan as do we. And then, although it doesn't get caught in tassels (amazingly), it does mess them all up crossing back and forth. So afterward, you have to comb out all your tassels. All of this is of course extra work not intended. However, if you manage it to keep it away from the tassels and learn how best to wall it in, I'm sure it will get easier to use going forward.
So, 5 stars from an innovation and build quality point of view, but only 3.5 stars from a truly useful functionality point of view. Overall, we would recommend this product. We don't know how useful it would be buy the higher priced models.

Good speakers for stereo bakcground music.
Good speakers, pretty good sound quality. Very good for the application we intended - stereo background music on the back porch - my wife and I love them.
I have installed 3 sets of Cables2Go monaural speakers and have a lot of experience with sound systems. Recommend this speaker system for fixed, background music locations where you desire 2-channel stereo music. As the system is permanently set to stereo, using each speaker in a different location would give you only 1 channel of the 2-channel stereo in each location. Use a monaural system for this application, which works great. That said, you could always move both speakers to a new location and have stereo there.
Battery and AC operation both work fine. As battery power diminishes in a speaker, the sound will distort. New batteries are supposed to last about 24 hours at mid-volume. We keep the batteries in them but have each speaker’s AC cable plugged into one extension cord, which we then connect to power on the porch. As you should turn the speakers off after each use, we simply disconnect the extension cord. If we want to go to battery, we simply disconnect the power cable at the speaker, and we’re now mobile.
Did not give 5 stars because the speakers don't provide quite the sound crispness and bass as the Cables2Go monaural speakers, which appear to have better designed speaker enclosures. This is not as important for background music, but my audio enthusiast ears would have preferred a little better from RCA. Range may be a bit weak, too, perhaps because of the additional power and bandwidth needed for the stereo transmission.
Recognize that to adjust the volume and stereo sound balance, you should adjust the volume on each speaker. Also, these are not recommended for use as surround speakers in 5.1/7.1 applications. The auto power on feature will cut them in and out somewhat noisily, and the sound quality is insufficient for surround sound or prime music listening (as opposed to background music).
Final note, these speakers are each 900 MHz radio receivers, which may get interference from other 900 MHz systems, mainly older cordless phones. A friend has had this experience with one speaker, while the other, in a different room, did not receive the phone transmission. Try moving the speaker to a different location, blocking transmission from your neighbor’s house, or try retuning the base unit to a different part of the band and retune each speaker accordingly. As the phones often randomly select their channels and have a longer range, they may still stumble across your new tune.
