Best walking shoe since Brasher shoes
Bought as a replacement for a pair of Brasher walking shoes. They are almost identical but with a better wear rate around the ankle collar part of the shoe. Comfortable and hard-wearing.

Bruno 5 - The Devil's Cave
This is the 5th book in the Bruno Courreges series of books about a rural policeman in the Dordogne Department of France. He works as a singleton policeman, appointed by the Mayor, but working with the Gendarmerie. His love life is convoluted with a younger French love (normally absent), an English woman lover who takes him on her own terms and is currently in the UK. He loves the countryside, its customs and its traditions, is a pillar of the community, widely respected, plays rugby,coaches younger players and always tries to find pragmatic solutions to problems.
In this episode he is faced with a corpse, floating in a punt down the Vezere river - the woman appears to have been the victim of a Satanic ritual - Bruno must solve the murder and the consequences for the community whilst managing the commercial pressures of vested interests.
