In short, it works
I am a private individual and use the Yellow Jacket for my own vehicles. I have used it twice with success. When I say success I do not mean it immediately located the leak. If it is a large leak one may need to have a fan or some way to move the residual Freon away to prevent false readings. If it is a slow leak the air moving from the engine running may prevent sufficient Freon from accumulating in a detectable amount.
