Elegance in a Bottle

This is my favorite scent. It is simple elegance. I get lovely compliments every time I wear it. Though, even if no one else cared for it, I would wear it just for me! What was it that Marilyn Monroe said about Chanel No. 5? Something like, "I sleep in Chanel No. 5 and nothing else"? Well, I wear jammies with mine, but my sheets end up taking on the scent. My little boy climbed in to snuggle the other day and said, "Mmm... It smells like Mom! She smells like the prettiest lady in the world!"

Kate Remembered by A. Scott Berg / Catherine Hepburn

This book was delightful with many vivid and personal details of Catherine Hepburn's life but written with grace and tact. Not a vile tell all story but with so much history I wanted to go out and rent almost everyone of her films. Scott Berg made me feel as though I were right there beside him, becoming a personal friend of Kate's as well as her long time housekeeper/assistant. I wish more of the Hollywood biographies were written as thoughtfully and respectfully.
