Find a manual - have a blast !
4 von 4 finden das hilfreich I found a stick shift new 2006 closeout at a Chicago area dealership that apparently no one around here wanted, as they gave me a phenominal deal on it. My wife wanted a stick shift, and I found what we wanted. It is a blast to drive, and gets great mileage to boot. It's a pretty basic model..one step above the "value" edition, but the base features (2.0 turbo engine, etc.) on it are more than adequate. The seats are pretty comfortable, but I would have popped for the cold weather package if I had to do it over again (seat warmers should be standard equipment in Illinois and points north). One funny comment from the local dealer service advisor where I took it for its first oil change "this car is a pocket rocket !" Well, I guess he doesn't run across too many 2006 and newer Passats with manual transmission, but he was sure impressed by the car. Take that GTI owners ! This car's a keeper, with room for the family.

Before we go on a trip abroad, we always pick up the Rick Steves book for that region. We use it for attractions, restaurants, hotels and walking tours.
