It's a love story and a comedy combined with Julie Andrews sounding at her best.

A disturbing portrait of Oz with some great special effects.
What's good about this film is that it's an interesting combination of a couple of L.F. Baum's Oz books. What's bad is that it paints an alarming portrait of the heroine Dorothy and her Aunt Em. It's pretty dark for an Oz story.

A love story that transcends stereotypes.
I loved this when it was presented on PBS, and now I have a copy that I can view anytime. The dealer in the UK shipped it promptly and I would recommend them.
