This is a tool for a purpose.

Not "use". Some use will not effect your sound.
Reliance on it will effect your sound.
This is a tool with a specific purpose.
Being able to practicing at anytime, anywhere is better than limited practice, or no practice at all.
This is an excuse killer.
You'll still need plenty of open practice too, but this allows anyone to practice at any time of the night or early morning, and no wake up a person in the same room.
