Small and easy to handle, but not for the discerning photographer.
Scanner inherently crops the image along all 4 edges and saves it that way. As a result, some image edge information is forever lost in the conversion. Also, negatives which have been stored for a long time are curled. Not the scanner's fault, but a curved negative will not insert completely. The adapter must be removed and opened for each negative strip to get the leftmost negative image properly positioned.
