Hard-to-find trilogy in rare steelbook with unique artwork.
A three-fer BR set in steelbook. Unique artwork, different from the other steelbook sets of Zombie's trilogy.

Have You Never Been Mellow - Sheet Music (US version)
This sheet music in written in the Key of C. The actual recording is in the key of G, so you couldn't "play along with the record" using this particular version. You CAN find the music written in the original key of G in four songbooks by Olivia Newton-John: 2 published in 1975, both having the cover of ONJ in a jean jacket with her arms folded. One cover has no border; the other has a white border with an abbreviated list of songs listed on the bottom. The one with the white border was reprinted in 1976 and includes "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Sam." In 1977, ONJ released a "Greatest Hits" LP and its songbook. In 1978, the "Greatest Hits" song book was re-released to include three songs from "Grease," Both of these "Greatest Hits" compilations include "Have You Never Been Mellow" in the Key of G. The photo on the cover of this sheet is a head shot taken in 1973, shortly before she was "made-over" to please U.S. audiences.

Crayons - Keeping up with the times
The music on this CD is a far cry from Donna Summer's "Love to Love You Baby," "Bad Girls," and even "Love Is in Control (Finger on the Trigger)" and "This Time I Know It's for Real." She scored hits with the dance oriented tracks "Stomp Your Feet" and "I'm a Fire," The orchestra sounds almost entirely created with a computer music program, but that was par for the course during the period this CD was created. In many tracks, the emphasis seems to be on ego-driven music programming, leaving Donna Summer's extraordinary vocal work buried in the mix. The singer shines most in the few ballads included on the CD because we can actually hear her vocals loud and clear. The overproduction on the other tracks is representative of the kind of popular music that was created in and around 2008. Donna Summer was known for her versatility and for changing her style to keep up with the times. This CD is a good example of that tenacity to remain relevant as an artist.
