The cats meow! Take it on vacation as well!
WOW! I cannot say enough about this great machine. Several years ago I got into drinking espresso using the cheaper espresso machines. As my time in the morning became more and more limited I advanced up to this gem. Never thought I would own a $1000.00 espresso machine. Cleaning is a little sloppy but easy and tolerable. The digital display is awesome and helps you keep track of everything the machine has done. My kids love espresso as well and the doser knob on front helps them to keep the strength down ( I like it all the way up). If you have the extra money or get a combo deal, the milk island is the best. It is super quick bringing up to temp in 15-20 seconds and the froth is the cats meow. You can also froth on the steam wand but I guarantee you, you will never go back to it if you have the milk island. The heating pad on top for cups get lukewarm at best. I put my mug under scalding hot water to heat it up for making my drink. I can make a 6 shot latte with skim milk, whipped cream and vanilla flavoring just like starbucks in under 3 minutes. Got it down to a science. I have had this machine for over a year and will not change unless something faster comes out. This is not a beginner machine, unless you have patience. Its all in the grind of the bean and freshness of the bean. I'm thirsty now and am going to make another! Hope this was helpful. FYI: there is maintenance to a machine like this. you just can't ignore keeping clean. For this price and investment who wouldn't.....
