"Streets of Fire"
Just look at the cast! This is a very quirky movie - appears to be set in the 1950's. Great music, some action, all pretty good. I liked it anyway!

ToastMaster Cookie Press
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich We've tried most of the other battery powered cookie presses/shooters and this is the only one to stand up to my Mother-in-Law's recipe for Biscochitos, including a heavy duty cooled mix! My Wife's been using hers for several seasons without a stumble!! A really good machine!

"mighty Spanish forces"???
"I bought this book to understand the fate of the Native Americans against the mighty Spaniard forces in 1680 and found that the Spaniards were vanquished!"
I'm sorry you were somewhat disappointed in this book, but the Spanish colony in New Mexico in 1680 was nearly as remote in its time as a Space Station on the Moon would be today - maybe more-so. To reach New Mexico from Spain, they had to cross the Atlantic Ocean, cross the Gulf of Mexico (maybe a little Caribbean detour thrown in, and travel overland (horse, foot, ox cart, etc.) for more than 900 miles - easy! Not exactly a great communications, logistics, or technological pipeline. The "Spanish" population was relatively small - really small. Remember, Cortez conquered Mexico with only a couple of hundred Spanish troops, and he was still about 600 miles from Santa Fe, many years before, of course.
New Mexico remained a relatively isolated colony until after WWII!
