I am currently a student attending THE Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and being a fashion design major, this was a required text. It begins with the basics, but does not move so slowly as to offend the seasoned designer. The sketches and renderings in the book are impeccable - if you're looking for inspiration or simply a more efficient technique to communicate your fashion ideas, this is definitely the book for you. I got it at a great price, but would have easily spent $30-40 more for it at the book store if I had known it would be such a valuable tool for my education and career.
As a fashion designer, it is very hard to find GREAT examples of clean, professionally done fashion drawings. The book has a great section of graphics that are as clean and crisp as vector or clip art. It shows you the basics of drawing the figure to how to render the folds and creases in nearly any garment. It does everything from partially colored to black-and-white renderings of the essentials and some treats in there as well. This book is NOT A PERIPHERAL, but a PREREQUISITE for any trying to learn or polish up their drawing skills. It could definitely be used as a cross-disciplinary tools as the art is definitely something technical illustrators, or technical artists can use or learn from. I LOVE THIS BOOK.
I encourage e-commerce over regular retail because generally, the money you save on gas money or even MSRP is saved by at least 15% of the total cost. It also puts more money into the pockets of private individuals than to dump tons of money into our retail stores in this failing economy. I haven't bought a school book from a University bookstore since 2005, I'm in my fifth year of school right now, so for me to recommend buying this book from a book store is very strong statement. No pockets !
The only issue with these shorts is NO HAND POCKETS! While most shorts have hand pockets and nothing in the rear these are the opposite with a sizeable back pockets. Quality is crazy like really nice quality rice paper or seaweed hand feel but great fabric density overall. Really nice summe time short for an outing at the beach or something similar

Scorpion SZN - wide legged comfortable and surprising breathability.
What makes this short incredible is how comfortable and soft it is. Woven polyester/faux-satin base with embroidered silicone finish appliques. Side splits give it style and ventilation. The wider leg hem gives it incredible comfort for an unprecedented fit. These definitely break necks, they look like wilder in the photos than they do in person, but they're amazing. THEEEEE most comfortable pair of shorts I've ever owned. I wish nike made more colors. I own the Navy/Red and the Black/White red, both elevate your style and look amazing with low cut dunks, jordan 1s, or maxes. Not for the faint of heart!
