Awesome all around DSLR
5 von 5 finden das hilfreich I bought the Canon 5D Mark IV as an upgrade to my main camera originally the 6D and so I can expand the type of work that I do namely weddings (dual card slot). So far I have not been let down. I could easily seperate this body from the pack and detail every nuance but there are billions of reviews for this body so I'll stick to the oftenly unmentioned. Amongst the community this body is seen as an incremental upgrade to the Canon 5D Mark III and for the basics of function they wouldn't be wrong, the video capabilities although sporting 4K recording are lackluster certainly not momentous enough to spur filmmakers or television to film episodes or movies on it like with the Mark II. 4K is cropped and limited to standard film speeds and for good reason, as canon opted to use the archaic MJPEG codec for video recording, I wouldn't however completely discount it as a pro video option for achieving very high quality 1080P content as this model now offers C-Log (if you pay for it unfortunately). Low light performance is about on par with the 6D and Mark III with a tad better DR for detail recovery. A however momentous upgrade is to wireless protocol for this model, although both my 6D and 70D offer wifi as an option it is often left off and untouched because it's interface as well as limitations in the Canon mobile app leave a lot to be desired, problems abound from unstable connections to the clunky setup and menu system and inability to send full RAW images over wifi. The wifi direct and NFC make sending shots to my phone a breeze allowing me to send content to the cloud for backup.

Plastic Fantastic Returns
2 von 3 finden das hilfreich The famous or infamous (dependent on personal opinion) Canon 50mm f/1.8 returns, this time however with some much welcome improvements and no major jump in price. First off the flange on the bayonet is no longer plastic like in the version II and OG 50 making this a tad more durable from drops and spills. The body of the lense is made from a thicker and more textured plastic, I'd personally prefer a metal construction but alas this isn't an L lense and it's a notably better feel than it's previous brethren. Performance is optically identical imho to the previous versions as far as the optics are concerned but there has been great improvements to focus mechanism, in the version Canon decided to opt for a stepper motor focus system it's much faster, quieter, and it hunts far less than the previous models. After touching on the focus system brings me to the one true caveat to this lense, because this is an atm lense it has no true manual focus, if the switch is in manual when the camera is on it will allow you to manually focus the lense however because this is only a motor control instead of mechanical control, when the camera is switched off you cannot retract the front element any amount of subsequent force can damage the lense in a way that isn't worth the cost of repair.
