makes installing motor and trans combo impossable without other mods
the front bottom corners should have been rounded off. when assembled to an engine with a transmission mounted cant get it in between the firewall and the motor cross-member. If the pan had the front corners rounded by 2 inches it would fit. I chose to sledge hammer the firewall hump back 2 inches so the distributor base and trans could go far enough back for the pan to clear the front cross-member. If I had more time, I would have cut off and welded the corners at an 45 degree angle back about 2 inches. I pulled the motor in and out half a dozen times, it will not go in with this pan unless you knock off the corners, bang back the firewall or maybe remove the distributor and trans dipstick. be warned.

great tires for classic cars
I fit the 285/60R17 in the rear of a 72 chevelle and they filled up the wheel wells perfectly. Rides smooth past 100mph!
