Enhanced IR cut for astroimaging
I have been using these Baader filters for both 6D and 450D cameras of mine, and it is a very efficient way to capture Halpha line. Only one filter and then I add my clip in filters e.g. cls or h-alpha if I want to isolate emission. I bought cheap mono astro 1,2 megapix for narrowband only from an asian country :) and that mono sensor is ofcourse only giving me NarrowBand signal since it has no ir/cut on the sensor, while my canon baader modded ones give me the starcolours without bloating plus the nebulosity. I was very fond of the mono sensor but my modded camera is giving me more of what I want in an astro image with minimum efforts. I get oxygen lines well defined in halpha objects so I am very pleased with this mod. I only shoot unguided with a tracker for max 3 kilos and 30 seconds per sub but my pictures have been no dissapointment yet.
