Betcha its gonna be a good movie
Bought it on the author's name recognition. I'd found Cold Mountain while it was still in paperback and felt it was a winner. It was and this one is no different. Great character developments, very realistic description of places and events, e.g. I can still smell that bacon cooking on that turkey over the fire, and his treatment of the "trail of tears" and the post civil war years make the reader wonder about how we got to where we are today.
Narrative maybe the the best I've ever listened.
Definately a BUY RECOMMENDATION!!!!
