No regrets
Yes, the manual is in Japanese and warranty coverage is valid only over there. So far, no problems at all and the risk has been worth the $450 cost savings.
Recently I see the price here in the States has approached this price. And that makes it a questionable purchase.

This is the way to go.
This old-school method with a spin-on filter and a crankcase drain is a bunch less expensive, more effective and almost as quick. The "30-second" method just seems like an expensive gimmick.
