Works well
Not the most luxurious feel to the switch but it was super cheap and looks great

Cut corners so will cost you a lot more
7 von 14 finden das hilfreich Unless you live in a timber frame house, unlike most of the UK who have brick, this won’t ‘just work’. Sure it’ll connect and all will appear well and then you’ll realise it’s missing huge chunks of your day and night when it’s just not operational and is disconnected.
In fact I was speaking to a policeman stood in front of the camera while my alarm was going off and it had captured the grand total of nothing. So it’s not really a security camera then, is it? It’s a toy.
If you want a security camera buy a security camera. One that’s hard-wired.
This all boils down to the fact that Ring cheaped-out on the WiFi components so that (I’m not kidding) you need a WiFi signal within six feet of your camera. It also only uses the old 2.5ghz standard (unlike competition from Nest etc, which support 5ghz. 2.4ghz is also easily blocked using a £130 jammer available on eBay.
So the solution for me is either rip then out (having spent decent money putting them up and drilling big holes in the exterior brick work) and put a proper system in, or, as I will probably do, buy more WiFi kit and cables etc to get the WiFi signal to literally the other side of the wall from the ‘wireless’ cameras.
This is all confirmed by Rings customer service team and helpful online reviews that I wished I’d read first.
Buy another brand or buy some proper hard wired cctv cameras.

...hopefully they'll come off as easy as they went on. Make sure to look for the small picture on one or the sheets that shows the numbering.
