Does it all!

This GPS has all the functions that I find useful on the road. It's a good upgrade from prior Garmin units that I have had. It's easy to use and the voice command option is generally decent to use, there are the usual pronunciation glitches, but nothing horrible. And if there is a glitch it's easy enough to just switch to manually entering the rest of the instruction sequence. The traffic monitoring function is good, on my first use it alerted to a back up ahead on the interstate, gave a good option to detour around the back up and as we got back on the highway we could see the tie up in the rear view mirror. Another nice feature is that it will give you a warning tone and visual alert when you are going into a speed zone (e.g. school zone speed limit) to help keep you out of trouble. The lifetime map update is nice to have so that any new traffic patterns and up to date points of interest (food, fuel, etc) are available. And you can also save some specific searches a "one button" process, for example, I programmed mine to find nearby Starbucks locations, nice to lower the brain function required before you get that first cup of coffee! Great value for a GPS with good function and ease of use.
