Good value
I purchased these calipers to replace an older set that I've had for almost 20 years. These look almost the same and may even be the same brand, but with some updates. My feeling after a couple weeks of use is that they seem well made and accurate. One of the nice new features is they turn on and zero themselves as soon as you move the jaws. I do a lot of work in both metric and imperial units, and the fact that these calipers also show imperial fractions is going to save me trying to convert between decimal inches fractions.
They also came with 2 spare batteries and a complimentary set of feeler gauges.
Considering how cheap the price is I'm very happy with them.

Swapping the entire lid is the easiest way to do it
Replacing the entire dust bin lid as a complete assembly is the way to do it as it was very easy to do and just involves 4 screws. It's a quick and simple swap.
I don't know how I would have gone if I'd just purchased the red door by itself as it wasn't obvious to me how you separate the red door from the rest of the lid.
