A piece of wood as a rule

A very sturdy and well balanced ruler with clear metric and imperial measures. My primary function is for dress making and haberdashery so an excellent choice.

Rattle gone.

I've replaced the original links after 110k miles. The construction dimensions on the new links are slightly lighter than the original Vauxhall/OPEL components. The gator on these are not clear silicon rubber as picture but black rubber. I was aware that the diameter of the ball stud where the flats are is a bit smaller than the original and a bit close to the diameter of the mounting holes but on tightening there was no conflict so not a problem. The link bar nuts are m12 locking nuts whereas the original were plain flanged nuts. I would recommend adding m12 washers on the nut side. Use the correct torque settings to lock down. All good so far and the rattle has been cured.

Travel kettle

Its a bit bulkier than some but not excessive and the profile shape is traditional so could be improved with a square profile for packing. Odd choice of material colour. But the kettle worked well and the cups fit neatly inside the kettle. The power on indicator is a good feature and the boil switch is positive and effective. The general build is sturdy. I recommend this product.
