Definitely worthwhile mod
Generally, a master cylinder brace on a Subaru is a good, and value for money mod, whether you buy this Cusco product or similar products by Perrin or Grimm Speed. The brake pedal will feel a lot more solid and gives you more confidence in stopping. However, one has to keep in mind that the firewall will still flex a little bit even with this brace. Nonetheless, the brake pedal will feel very solid despite the little bit of flex remaining. With regard to this Cusco product, first, it is not just for WRX or STI only. It fits my FXT and should fit all Foresters 2014 to 2018 models. Second, and in my mind its best attribute, is ease of installation. The only tools needed are 12 mm and 10 mm sockets, a ratchet, and maybe a 12 mm wrench. The design makes the bolts very accessible so that installation by this newbie was only about 15 to 20 minutes. Lastly, the quality of Cusco product is very high. My first Cusco product was a front strut tower bar which impressed me with its quality and design. Therefore, that experience led to my second Cusco product, the brake cylinder brace. I think most people would not be disappointed by the product quality. Well, maybe one thing, the installation instruction is in Japanese only. But there are a number of videos on YouTube which can give you guidance on installation. So that is not a problem, at least for me.
