Do not hesitate if you can get one, it will positively surprise you.
Sony TA 2650 is one of those underrated sleepers, but is not really rare, it appears on Ebay from time to time. I have acquired one locally for next to nothing, build quality was whole way under expected even if have had many amps prior to this Sony. Sound characteristics is surprisingly good, better one could expect from circa 40wpc amp, packs solid round bass punch and clear highs. decent positioning and separation. Inside unique twin filter capacitors 10,000uf per channel, not bad! Sealed ALPS volume potentiometer also present. the only inconvenience is that the amp is intended to work with non less impedation than 8 Ohms or higher, I have checked in practice and it overheaths with normal listening driving 4 Ohms rated speakers.
Excellent little solid state amplifier with serious aspirations to be classified as lower HI-END.

Essential stuff
Popular wipes, astonishingly remove all grease from your spectacles. I wonder why people puff and wipe their glassess in polyester cotton mix shirts they are wearing instead sticking one of these into pocket and use when necessary. Live looks so much better through clean lenses.
