The ORIGINAL, timeless version of Chess
Being recorded in the dawn of CD history, this is a very good CD for what the market value seems to be! If Benny Andersson hadn't remastered this in 2014, it would be THE CD to have to get the original version of Chess, and by strict definition, still is. Alas, the remastered version apparently had a very short production period in Europe so copies are selling at very high prices ($100+) and I can't even find a copy on Ebay. I love this original cast dearly but for a more cohesive, expanded and sonically more current version, I like the Denmark Cast version better. It also includes some chestnuts that this version doesn't even hint at. Apparently, Andersson et al wrote about 50 songs for Chess and various songs pop up in the many versions.
