It's a great whodunit, I learned so much social history, shame I didn't learn it at school.
If you enjoy historical novels, you will love this. If gives so much information about life in King Henry Vlll time. They were very brutal times and the poor people suffered much after the dissolution of the monasteries. The king did nothing to help them, he seemed only interested in a massing wealth for himself and his cronies. Once you start it's hard to put down. It's best to start with book 1, Dissolution and go through them in the order he has written. I'm now reading Heartstone.
