T. Graham Brown is one of the best-kept secrets in country music. Too bluesy and funky for mainstream country, he's never had that single mega-hit that would make him a household name. Nonetheless, like Delbert McClinton, John Hiatt and several other gritty singer-songwriters of the genre, he continues to turn out great music. Wine Into Water is a heartfelt plea for help from a "friend of Bill" who feels like he's hit rock-bottom. Brown delivers the message with conviction, leading the listener to believe he's not just singing a song, but himself crying out for help. That's not just a singer, that's a communicator. Also worth the price of admission are Paul Craft's "Keep Me From Blowing Away," "Hide and Seek," "A Better Word For Love" and the infectious rocker "Accept My Love." "Memphis Women and Chicken" is down-home funky. This one's a keeper from start to finish.

Excellent mystery novel
Excellent writer and compelling characters, story holds your attention all the way thru. Makes you want to read the whole series (17 and counting). The author lives in the area where the stories are set and his familiarity with the locale shines thru on every page.
