Subpar Budget Speakers
1 von 5 finden das hilfreich I bought these to replace my factory Lexicon Door Subwoofers in my Genesis.The factory subs are over 10 years old and started rattling. So, after reading the reviews on these Skar subs, I decided to give them a try. As I opened the Skar Boxes, I was amazed to find that these new speakers
had No Hardware....NONE, no mounting clips or screws, wire clips, not even a dust cover or vibration seal. I had to redrill holes in my doors and find my own screws to mount these as the holes did not match up. You can't use Genesis' mounting speaker hardware as they are mounted from the factory with rivets. You have to drill them out with a power drill. Besides that, the Sound Reviews on these Skars are overrated. Even though the factory Genesis subs are on the lower end of Lexicon, they still sounded better than these. I have had aftermarket lower line Alpine, Pioneer, JVC, Pyle and Bose that sounded better than these. If you care about the sound quality of your music, don't waste your money on these Skar subs. If you can afford to, spend just a few more bucks and go with the budget level of those previously mentioned brands instead of these less than Budget Speakers. I guess the old saying is true, "you get what you pay for".
