great for media players
The Intel NUC form factors are great, small, efficient and quiet. The only drawback is the small amount of USB ports.
Other than this, they are great, especially for media players. THis unit can play just about any video format at up to 4K resolutions, and supports HDR output. A great addition to any home theater. The very quiet operation is a blessing in a quiet room

WARNING - DO NOT BUY an iPronto
This is more of a Warning regarding these remotes.
These remotes were cutting edge back in the day, and they had a lot of features, which is proabbly the reason they are still sought after. BUT, and this is where the waringin comes in, The iProtnto has been discontinued, and support fro it from Philips is non-existent.
This wouldn't be so bad, if the remote didn't rely on communication with Philips servers. First and foremost, this remote has a WiFi card inside it, which can only connect to a 802.11b 2.4Ghz router/AP.If you can manage to get it to connect to your network, consider yourself lucky. More often than not, it can't.
Then there's the issue of unstable software., which will require the user to do a hard reboot/reset in order to restart a frozen remote. DO this enough times, and the software (firmware) will be corrupted. when this happens, the remote will want to connect to a Philips server to restore the software. The problem is, those servers no longer exists, so it will simply hang up indefinitely trying to connect to a non-existent server.
Philips has never made the firmware/software available for download, it was only available for automatic restore or updates via the servers mentioned above. So now you have a very cool looking door stop.
Another issue with these is the completely non-standard battery, which is impossible to find. Unlike some other pronto remotes, this battery a proprietary form factor so once it's gone bad, you won't be able to get a replacement.
In conclusion, while buy a high end customizable remote for pennies on the dollar may sound like a cool idea, it isn't, simply because Philips has truly managed to obsolete the remotes entirely.
