Very inexpensive way to replace ATIV 7 keyboard - good quality!
This keyboard works well. The replacement is a bit time consuming the first time but for the price of this keyboard it's worth the extra effort.
I have fixed several Ativ Book 7 keyboards. The first time I just bought the entire top. After removing the motherboard, USB board and the black adhesive backed insulating sheets you then just dab a medium hot soldering iron (chisel adapter worked well) to melt the plastic just enough to pull up the perforated metal sheet that holds the keyboard in place. You lose some of the plastic so when put the metal sheet back on after the keyboard replacement just make sure you've redone enough of them to hold the keyboard in place so it doesnt' sink down. I used some extra plastic I had from a project that involved welding plastic.
It really is the stupidest design on Samsung's part.
