Perfectly satisfactory.
It's a simple switch but at least it's got three terminals, which is one more than can be said for the switches on sale in some electrical shops. The instructions are clear enough.

Good replacement.
I wasn't even expecting to find a replacement adapter that would work with my external hard drive. I was both pleased and relieved to find that this one worked straight away.
