LG LAS465B 2.1ch 300W Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer and Blue
Beautiful portable unit, with an excellent price tag, high end performance. Instantly connected to my LG TV via optical audio port. No fuss no muss with set-up at all. I had forgotten how great home theater sound can be, and that was pre-DVD era. The Bluetooth allows streaming of dig music from your portables, sound reminds me a bit of my Bose 501s. I'd do this one again in a heartbeat.

old school non-tube amplification
very garage band solid state amplification cheap and plentiful. Very modible, try 15 watts through twin 8's (or even 10"). Sound is great as is, better than awesome with multi speakers.
