Crisp images from a fast prime
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I love this lens which has taken me back to a previous era of photography. I have it fitted with an adapter to either my Fuji XE-1 or XT-1 mirrorless camera. You have to do a bit more work with the manual focus, but the results can be very pleasing. (Also remember to dial in the focal length in the EXIF data). Focus peaking helps in both these cameras. It took a while to get the settings right but in the end changing either the ISO or the shutter speed usually got me in the right ball park. Then the composition - here with the fixed 50 mm prime I find myself moving around more to ensure that the image is correctly located and the background uncluttered - with my Canon gear and autofocus, I would have relied much more on post-processing. I'm delighted with this lens which feels sturdy, well-built and appears to have excellent glass. Some of the images I'm getting are very sharp.

Sharp shots with great colour, easy to use
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I bought this as an experiment to see if I could get on with a mirrorless camera. It has met my expectations with excellent sensor giving crisp shots and an amazing depth of colour. I use it with a Fujinon zoom but also with a collection of five Olympus OM manual prime lenses (used with an adaptor). The results are above expectation and take me back to an era of photography where you perhaps had to think a bit more.

Excellent reliable backup camera
I wanted this camera in the UK as a backup because my main DSLR kit is in France. I am delighted with it and surprised how well it works given its age. It is straightforward to learn and the image quality (with Canon EF 28-90 zoom) is pleasing. I may get a telephoto or even try out a more modern Canon...
