Old, but not obsolete
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Went through about two modern pencil sharpeners (which had decent reviews) before I started looking for an older model.
The newer models, although inexpensive, seem to use much more plastic in the design and I can lock the motor if I push the pencil in hard enough. They are also much lighter, so they easily lose grip if they are not bolted to a surface or up against a wall.
I remember how the older models worked in some schools and realized there was few problems with them, so I found this. Am very happy with its function. Handles normal sized pencils just fine and let's me know when it's sharp. Cleanup is quick and easy. Only gripe about the sharpener is that it doesn't work with very wide pencils like the ones used by kids learning to write.
