Fixed my motherboard and my laptop runs as fast as ever
I was contemplating buying a new laptop but I went ahead and spent a much smaller amount of money on getting my existing motherboard fixed and I'm glad I did. Laptop runs just as well as ever. As of writing this, it's been almost two months since I got the fixed motherboard back.
Shipping the motherboard was the only annoying part of the process considering how delicate it is and how it has to be wrapped in anti-static wrapping. I ended up using a medium sized pizza box from Domino's which fit perfectly. After that it's just a waiting game until it returns.
