Excellent lens.
If you can only afford one lens, this is the one you have to have!!! I also own the 50mm D f/1.8 and it's a must, the price is excellent. I had to do a wedding and these are the only two lenses I used and they were sharp and beautiful. I'm now saving up for a wide angle prime and an 85mm 1.8 lens, for flash I used only two vivitar 285 models and two cowboy radio triggers, the most important thing I can say is be creative, I could have used just the 35mm lens on my D200 but I used the 50mm for head shots and every thing else the 35mm G f/1.8; enjoy this lens!!!!
