Great Hooks!!
Gamakatsu has always been a very good hook for the money. There are no doubt higher quality hooks available, but I have really never found a situation, that Gamakatsu wouldn't work. Great hook for the money.

Smoother than expected!
When a company is trying to reduce weight on a reel, magnesium is the way to go. This reel being on a few tenths of an ounce heavier than magnesium at much less cost, I thought I would try it. I was somewhat skeptical, but the cI4+ material does not have the cheap feel I thought it would. It casts like a dream. After I cleaned the grease caked bearings, it casted like a super tuned reel. The lure just glided long and far. WOW!! I have been using it now for maybe 2 weeks and I know it will handle 4 to 5 pound bass with ease and I am sure it would do much more. I do highly recommend this reel for overall quality, smoothness and external adjustments that make backlashes pretty much a thing of the past. It feels like a higher priced, higher end reel.

Just what I needed
This float is really big. You can make long casts and still keep your float in sight. Also much easier to see in choppy water which is really a plus in Oklahoma wind. It is hard to thread braided line through the float because of roughness or interruptions inside the tube, but that can be remedied by keeping a piece of wire handy. All in all it does the job well.
